Emailing invoices etc on windows 10

Just bought a laptop with widows 10. and transferred my Offline version of Solar accounts to it from windows 7. It is up and running but having trouble emailing invoices etc. Any sugestions without going to the, Make a pdf and attach it to a separate email.

Hi Keith,

To connect the old offline version of Solar Accounts to your email program in Windows 10, there are two main things to check:

Firstly make sure your email program is set as the default Send Mail command for the MAPI protocol. To do that:
1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Set your default programs
2. Select the name of your email program on the left-hand side
4. Select 'Choose Defaults for this program' on the right-hand side
3. Look for a setting listed under 'MAPI' for 'Send mail' and make sure it is ticked. It looks like this:

Note that some email programs do not support the MAPI protocol, so they cannot be used by Solar Accounts

Also make sure your email program is 32-bit version. For Outlook 365, click File > Office Account > About Outlook, then look for '32-bit' at the top of the window. It looks like this:

Finally, you may want to consider switching to the online version which has an inbuilt email system and so avoids this problem. A few other benefits of switching are described here:
