I used one of my Solar databases and then closed Solar normally by clicking on File, Close and then exiting from the main menu.
When I looked at the folder where my database is stored it had a 'tilda' added to the front of the file name - eg ~NAME.
Why would this happen and should I worry about the contents ?
Hi Alan,
The tilda usually indicates that Solar Accounts was terminated abnormally - eg. because you shut down your computer before Solar Accounts had a chance to completely finish closing the file. I'm not sure of the cause in your case.
If there exists a file without the tilda prefix use it and delete the file with the tilda.
If there is only a file with the tilda prefix, just remove the tilda from the file name and use it.
(In both cases you will not lose any data)
Regards,
