I opened a new file for a client to be operative from 1 October. I imported entries made on the old file since that date to the new file. However, I inadvertedly imported a very large number of pre 1 October entries.
How can I delete these as a batch as to delete each entry individually will take ages.

Since sending that last query I got round the problem by replacing my working file from the back-up file which I had made just before the import.
At the same time I would like to know if it is possible to make multiple deletions of transactions.

Glad you are back up and running. In future if you make a mistake and the import process does not work as you expected, just click 'Undo Import' from the Edit menu. Unfortunately there is no way to delete transactions in bulk.
