Refund from government agency

I recently had a refund from VOSA for fees I paid over 2 years ago. They are changing the way licence HGV's. There is no VAT involved, but how do I record it as the money was paid such a long time ago.

Hi KP,

It sounds like you did not expect the refund - I would therefore record it as Uncategorised Income. However you should contact your accountant as he/she may prefer a different treatment.
