I have a prospective customer who would like me to import the work that I do on my Solar Accounts to their Sage program.
Is this possible? If so, how would I go about it?

Hello Kirsty,
Solar Accounts can export its data to CSV files in Sage Line 50 format (click menu File > Export To > Sage Line 50 Files).
However, importing this data into Sage will not be the same as if you had typed the data directly into Sage. This is because:
a) Solar Accounts exports all transactions as journal entries; and
b) Solar Accounts uses different control accounts than the ones normally used by Sage.
(These problems are due to limitations in the Sage CSV format)
Also note that if your client uses a Sage product other than Line 50 then it may not be possible to import these data files.
