Cannot Update Opening Balance

Have realised i have entered the wrong starting balance and programme wont let me change this, is there any way round this ?

Hi Martin - you cannot directly change the opening balance of the Balancing Account. The system automatically updates the opening balance of this accounts so that Assets = Liabilities + Equity.

Instead, you should change the opening balance of the 'Owner's Capital' account (or 'Share Capital' for a Limited Company) - this will automatically update the Balancing Account.
