can i ask why a visa payment has gone into the libility column when i use the visa card for expenses. (fuel) thanks.

When you record a fuel purchase Solar Accounts changes the balance for two accounts at the same time: It increases the 'Fuel' expense account balance (to record the fact that this expense has increased) and it increases the 'Visa' liability account balance (to record the fact that the amount you owe to the bank has increased). This is called 'double-entry accounting' - your accountant can give you more information about how this works.
