VAT

I am a sole trader and soon to register for vat. How do you apply VAT if you are already 2 months into the new year.

Hi James,

In Solar Accounts click menu Setup > Contact Details & VAT and tick 'Registered for VAT'. Then open any existing transactions dated in your first VAT period and change the VAT Treatment from 'Out of Scope' to 'Sale of Goods or Services to UK Customer' or 'Purchase of Goods or Services from UK Supplier' as appropriate.
