Backup to a different directory

New install on clean machine done and working fine. Now a question of backup. Is there a way of automating the backup to a particular destination? At present it seems to be just manual, and defaults to the same place as the business data file. I wish the backup to go to my NAS array, but do not want to have to navigate there everytime. ie hit backup and it is pre setup to go there. I would rather steer clear of windows backup if possible.

Hi Dick,

The backup process is not automatic (although you will be prompted to backup if you haven't done so for 2 weeks). If you need an automatic solution there are a number of other programs online that will backup your files.

You make a good point about the backup location - we'll change the behaviour so that the default location is the same as used for the previous backup.

Cheers,

Hi,
Has there been any progress on this issue?

Hi Steve,

We have not addressed the problem of automatically making backups.

We have fixed the problem where the default backup location was always the same as the location of the main data file. (It now 'remembers' the location of the previous backup).
