Hi i was just having a quick look around the accounts package and we have done a few invoices , i was wondering if the package done a file of a running total of monies outstanding in one sum or do you have to do it individually.

Yes, there are a couple of ways to view the total invoice amount outstanding:
Go to the Invoices and set the filter at the top to only show 'Open Invoices', then look at the 'Total Due' figure in the status bar at the bottom of the window.
Go to the Reports section and select the 'Outstanding Invoices' report. This will show the invoices grouped by days overdue. To group by customer, click menu Edit > Configure Report.
