Is it possible to run two separate businesses with solar accounts and what reports can be produced at the end of the accounting year? I wish to use it for running a local club plus my self-employed business.

Yes, you can manage the accounts of separate businesses by creating a separate data file for each business (click menu File > New > Business File).
