Is there any way that I can utilise the empty block to the left of the totals (on the invoice) as a multiline text block.
I normally add "Optional Advice" for my customers at the end of my current invoice and would like to use this area, if possible.
Any other suggestions will also do.

Sorry, that area is reserved for the VAT details when you are registered for VAT. However, you can create an addional invoice line that only contains a description - click 'Multi-Line Description' from the description drop-down. This then effectively becomes a comment field.
