I'm moving to Solar Accounts and have two outstanding invoices from the previous year. I created the customer and set the opening balance showing the invoice date as the previous year.
The monies were received and accounted against the invoice, however this shows as income for this year in the P&L report where as it was shown as sales in the previous years (other accounts programme) am I doing this correctly or should the opening balance account be something other than the default of Sales Income?

After you have entered the opening balance invoices, go to the Accounts list and double-click on Sales Income and change the opening balance to zero.
