is it possible to print a customer statement for the previous month, i.e. on the 1st of every month generate a customer statement for the previous month, i have tried this but if i generate an invoice on the 1st of thec current month it will be included on the whole statement,

Sorry no, the statement produced by Solar Account always uses the current date. An alternative is:
1. To to the Reports list
2. Select the 'Outstanding Invoices' report
3. Click 'Configure' then set the date and select 'Group Invoices By Customer'
4. Click menu File > Export To > Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet
5. Open the spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel and delete the rows that do not apply to your customer

Would it be possible when exporting,say, outstanding sales or purchase invoices to Excel to restrict this to individual customers/suppliers. Same applies to Printing.

I'll note that suggestion, but to be honest it's more likely that we will add an 'As Of' date to the customer statement instead.
