Are there any plans on releasing a payroll add on to the software in the near future? Im looking for Mac compatible software and there isnt much out there appart from cloud based systems that you either have to pay a huge amount for every month and you cant even test.

Sorry no, it's unlikely that we will produce a Payroll module for Solar Accounts in the near future as we are currently focused on other areas. An alternative is to install Windows using the 'bootcamp' feature of OS X then install Windows payroll software such as 12pay.

As far as payroll goes, I don't think you can beat Payroll Manager from Moneysoft. Having used Quickbooks payroll for too long, moving to the above was so easy and the included features are leaps and bounds better than QB.

They also do an accounts package, but I can tell you (and I'm sure Mark won't mind) that Solar is head, shoulders and the rest above their offering.
