Balancing Account

The system won't display transactions in the balancing account or the opening balances. Is there a way round this ?

Hi Chris,

To see the opening balance of the Balancing Account click menu Window > Accounts, then double-click on 'Balancing Account'. Then to see any transactions affecting the account click 'Account Activity' next to the Current Balance field.

Have tried that but it says No transactions match filter criteria.

Hi Alan,

That means there are no transactions that affect the Balancing Account. To change the balance of the Balancing Account you need to adjust the opening balance of one of the other accounts - see this page for details:
