i read that you only support uk businesses, but i am in ireland and am very impressed with your package so i am disappointed i cannot purchase this package. or can i ? if so - is there a way of not showing the £ sign ? your assistance in this matter would be appreciated.

Solar Accounts was only designed to be used in the UK, but we do occassionally sell to people in Ireland. The main difference is the VAT return in Ireland is much simpler, and the VAT rates are different - see this page for how to change the default rate:

Thank you for your prompt reply – is there a way of either selecting € instead of £ or alternatively not showing any currency symbol at all ?

Sorry I forgot to mention - to change the currency, click menu item Setup > Currency Symbol > Euro.
