Tax year dates same as financial year

In solar accounts can the financial year be set to the same dates as the tax year?

I believe that other accounts packages such as sage are not flexible enough to allow the company financial year to start 6 Apr and end 5 Apr, so must use 1Apr to 31 Mar.

I want them both to be the same, it's easier for filing purposes and for my tax return.

Hi Vic,

Yes that is fine - just set the 'Financial Year Begins' date to 06/04/13 when you set up your business file.
