Solar Accounts and Google Drive Compatability

Hello Guys,
For a few months been having no end of troubles with Solar Account files and Google Drive.
I open, edit and for some reason when closed the file doesn't save as either the previous file is still open somewhere in the background or permissions have changed, as result the accounts file sales as ~filename instead of filename.
Thanks
J

Hi Jason,

Unfortunately Solar Accounts is not compatible with Google Drive. You will need to edit the file in your Documents folder, then close Solar Accounts and copy the file to your Google Drive folder.

I have noted this problem in our development system, and we'll try to fix it in a future release of Solar Accounts.

Regards,

Hi,

Has the Google drive/Solar compatibility issue been resolved yet. Having the same issue as the original poster in being unable to synch Solar files after editing.

And is the same for all shared drives?

Regards,

Alan

Hi Alan,

Sorry no, we haven't fixed this problem. Moreover, we are no longer actively developing the offline version of Solar Accounts this is not likely to be something we fix in future.

Please consider switching to the online version of Solar Accounts, which we think is a better way to share your Solar Accounts data with multiple computers:
