Hi, what@s the best way to record petty cash purchases and setting up petty cash account.

When you top up your petty cash, record a General Transaction from the Cheque Account (or Money To Be Banked) to the Petty Cash account.
To record petty cash purchases you can either create a Money Paid Out transaction for each payment, or a single Money Paid Out transaction at the end of each month. In either case set the Paid From Account to 'Petty Cash'.
