I have tried many times to import from Excel but whichever way I try to do it, It doesn't seem to recognise the headings I put in, even if they are the ones suggested by Solar. Is there a template for this or does anyone have one I could filch? One of my clients submits his accounts on an excel spreadsheet and it would be fantastic not to have to type everything in!

To produce a 'template' for importing data into Solar Accounts, the simplest solution is to export some data to a CSV file: in Solar Accounts click menu File > Export To > Comma Separated CSV File. Tick only the types of data you want to import and click 'Export'. This will produce a CSV file in the required format. Note that when you edit the file you will need to save it as 'CSV' format (not the usual Excel .xls format).
