I went in to update my accounts file and solar automatically selected a back up that was not the most recent. I've now updated transactions on that file that was not the most recent and created a new back up. Can I import the data from the previous back up to ensure that I don't lose those changes?

When you click 'Open Existing File', Solar Accounts will show the file that you most recently opened (even if it is not the most up-to-date) so it is likely that you had previously opened the backup file. Unfortunately there isn't a way to merge changes from one file to another - sorry. The simplest approach is to open the backup file and click menu Tools > User Activity, then open the more up-to-date file and re-enter the data based on the User Activity list in the other file.
