Really liking the simplicity of Solar, and considering purchasing, but a few things trying to get to grips with.

Have entered opening balances and put to retained earnings, now left with a balance on this account. Please could you advice how to enter opening balances so they do not affect reports - TB balances.
Balances appear in aged reports which is correct.

I'm guessing you have entered an opening balance for a customer account, but this has changed the figures in your trial balance. The solution is as follows: double-click on each account in the Accounts list and set the Opening Balance figure to match the trial balance figure for the end of your previous financial year (or the date when you converted to Solar Accounts).

Thanks for your help, this still created a balance.

have put opening balance to the Balancing Account which seems to have resolved the difference
