quote number does not print on quotes

I have an issue when I raise a quote it is assigned a quote number but this does not transfer to the printed quote

Hi Ian,

To fix the problem click menu Setup > Page Layout > Quote Template, then double-click on the box under Quote No. and change the text to [Quote No] including square brackets. This is a special 'place-holder' value that will be replaced with the quote number when the quote is printed.
