I have tried to submit a VAT return for a business that is signed up for MTD, which I have done many times before. Solar Accounts wanted me to get an authorisation code from HMRC. I followed the link, but when I signed into HMRC, I used my old agent account log in, not my MTD account log in. HMRC gave me a code, which I entered into Solar Accounts. However, Solar Accounts now tells me that I am not authorise to act for this client. I have logged into the HMRC site and I am definitely authorised. How can I clear this block in Solar Accounts so that I can try again?

To enter another HMRC authorisation code, log into Solar Accounts Online
then press Command + Option + R. You should see a message asking if you
want to clear your existing HMRC authorisation code - click 'OK'. Then go
to the VAT Returns section and click Connect and follow from step 2 to
enter a new HMRC authorisation code. Please check that you are using the
correct Government Gateway User ID when logging into the HMRC website.
