Why has MTD for VAT stoped worked with one of my businesses?
I have been submitting VAT returns via MTD using solar Accounts regularly since it became necessary. Today when I tried to connect to HMRC it is asking me to register for MTD with HMRC and get another authorisation code.
Why has this suddenly happened?
Do I need to go through the registration for MTD again?
Hi Jane,
Unfortunately the authorisation codes that HMRC issue expire after 18
months, so you need to enter a new HMRC authorisation code from time to
time. Just follow the steps to enter a new code.
