Issue with Updating Labour Rates in Solar Accounts

Hi. Is there a way I can manually adjust the prices of items I have saved in the description boxes?

Example. I have various types of labour set depending on the persons who were on site. Recently we have changed our rates and it seems solar accounts has remembered the old rates but doesn't seem to want to remember the new rate. The result is sometimes it get missed and a customer gets charged the old rate and not the new rate.

Hi Austin,

Solar Accounts doesn't really keep a price list, it just looks at the list
of quotes and invoices and uses the same price that was last used for that
description.

So in your case the simplest solution is to create a 'dummy' quote which
lists the correct prices for each item. Solar Accounts will then use that
price when you enter a new invoice. Note however that the Description must
be exactly the same as on the quote (eg. the same number of spaces, etc)

Hi Mark.

Something odd is going on then. No matter how many times I enter a new
invoice and select the labour from the drop down box and change it, on the
next invoice it seems to want to charge the old price. It seems to only
happen with Labour too and I can't see what is different about it. Is there
a way to delete items from the description so I can add it in again and see
if it remembers it that way?

Many Thanks

Hi Austin,

That is odd. Yes you can delete an item from the list by right-clicking on
it and selecting 'Remove from list'. Does that resolve the issue?
