Hi there,
I hope you can help. I just tried to open up solar accounts on my Mac and it will not open.
I have updated to Catalina. Is this a problem. Can you please tell me how I can open up my accounts please?
Many thanks,
Kristian
Hello Kristian,
Unfortunately the latest version of MacOS cannot run 32-bit software, and
we don't have any plans to provide an update to the offline version of
Solar Accounts. Your best approach is to make a backup of all your data
then perform a 'factory reset' on your computer to revert to a previous
version of MacOS (please contact Apple for details of how to do this), then
re-install the offline version
<https://www.solaraccounts.co.uk/download?online=false> of Solar Accounts
from our website.
Hi Mark,
I can’t perform a factory reset as I have made too many modifications elsewhere. I wasn’t aware that your program wouldn’t work.
I have an old Mac that is running the previous version of solar accounts. However, I cannot open solar accounts on my current computer to make a back up to import into the other Mac. Surely there must be some solution to get the data on to the other Mac without reverting operating systems on this one?
Many thanks,
Kristian
Hi Kristian,
Ah OK in that case you can copy your business data file from your current
computer to the old Mac running an old version of macOS. The .slr data
file is usually located in your Documents folder and has the same name as
your business. Copy it to the Documents folder of your other computer,
then double-click on the file to open it.
Does that work?
Thanks Mark,
Let me give it a try. I will revert back to you. Appreciate the help.
Kindest Regards,
Kristian
Hi Mark,
That worked perfectly.
Thank you for the help.
Kindest Regards,
Kristian
Glad to hear that!
