Issue with VAT Return System Access

I cannot access the online vat return system through solar accounts, it keeps telling me i am not signed up for digital tax pilot. But I have been signed up for some time now and have submitted returns, is this a fault at hmrc or solar accounts

Hello Jonny,

HMRC require that you enter a new authorisation code every 18 months.
Please log in and go to the VAT Returns section and click 'Connect' then
follow the steps to enter a new HMRC authorisation code. If you get stuck
please let me know the error message.

Hi Mark
Thankyou for your reply , I have tried connecting several times and the error code
Displays that this vat n0 is not registered for online the error may be because you have not signed up to making tax digital pilot I can sign in to the gov gateway but it does not allow me to submit a vat return

Kind Regards,

Hi Jon,

The most common cause of this problem is that you have logged into the HMRC
website with the wrong Government Gateway User ID. Please tell me: Have
you been issued with more than one Government Gateway User ID?

Hi Mark
I have been issued with more than one gateway I’d but only one logs me in to hatch website, I spoke to Harv and they advised me to manage software permission Remove solar accounts and then re add it , it then says you have grant permission in the application itself, by this do they mean solar accounts is the application

Hi Jon,

OK here's how you can try again:

  1. Log into Solar Accounts Online

  2. If you are running Windows, press Ctrl + F6 (or Fn + Ctrl + F6 if your
keyboard has a Fn key). If you are running Mac then press Command + Option
+ R. You should see a message asking if you want to clear the old HMRC
    authorisation code - click 'Yes'.

  3. Go to the VAT returns section and click 'Connect' then follow from step
2 to enter a new HMRC authorisation code. Make sure you enter the correct
Government Gateway User ID when logging into their website. If you still
get the error, check with HMRC that the Government Gateway User ID you are
using is correct for submitting VAT returns for your organisation.
