Issue with Solar Accounts Backup

I made a backup onto an external hard drive and now my solar account program on the laptop doesn't open. Instead I am automatically directed to find the backup.

I'm trying to finish entering this year's data into my accounts and wanted to make a backup in case something went wrong. I don't want to continue entering into the backup file but onto the main file.

Can you explain what have I done and what can I do to access Solar on my laptop again?

Hi Irene,

Solar Accounts usually offers to open the most recently opened file, so if
you previously opened the backup it will offer to open it next time you run
the software. To open the other file:

  1. Run Solar Accounts from the Dock

  2. Click menu File > Open

  3. Navigate to the folder on your computer and open the file (not the backup file)
