I'm using Solar accounts for a charity. Should I record Gift Aid as an accrual until it is finally received from HMRC? Or should I make no record at all until it's received?

Yes, I would expect that Gift Aid should be recorded as accrued income in
the period when the charity receives the donation. However, I'm not an
expert on this topic - please check this approach with your accountant.
