I have been using Solar Accounts for several years but I am now disappointed that the software does not work on Apples latest upgrade to Catalina.
Having read about this I took the precaution to download the software and contents to my MacBook so at least I have use of it, all be it having to use it on another machine.
I am a single person user not VAT registered and not operating a payroll as I am the only employee. So i only use a small proportion of the software.
My gripe is that having to pay £25.00 p/m to use it on my desktop iMac
Question for you:
Are you going to offer the same program as before on Catalina in the near future or are customers who have enjoyed the program now have to pay £25 p/m?

Sorry no - we now only offer the software as a monthly subscription model.
I'm not sure why you say you have to pay £25 per month - you can continue
using the old desktop software on your old computer forever.

The point I was trying to make was that I would have to pay £25.00 p/m to use it on my iMac but I will now have to boot up my MacBook just to use your software as I did before.

Let me know how I can use your software as before on my iMac now it has been upgraded? So I will have to pay to use it on my iMac as I am not going backwards on my iMac.

OK if you want to use Solar Accounts on your your new iMac without
reverting to an older version of macOS then follow the 5 steps on this page
to upgrade to the online version:
https://www.solaraccounts.co.uk/upgrade

If you get stuck at any point please let me know what step you reach and
any error message.

Having just looked on your online set up I did notice on pricing that you do offer a none VAT version for £11.00 p/m which I would not object to paying as I am sure it comes up to scratch.
Question:
Am I able to get the 30 day free trial with this version and how easy is it to transfer everything I have inputted for the last seven plus years?

Hi Norman,

Yes if your business is not registered for VAT then the monthly
subscription fee is £11 + VAT (ie. £13.80). Yes you will automatically get
the 30-day free trial and it's very easy to transfer your existing data -
just follow the 5 steps on the page I mentioned:

Mission complete all up and running i downloaded Solar online on my MacBook transferred all my figures from old version to new Solar online.
Downloaded online Solar onto my iMac and then logged in Bingo all working as it should.
So thank you for your help and I will definitely sign up for the none vat version.
