I am and have been for many months out of Sync with my sales invoice numbers so always input the number manually.
Is there any way of updating my invoice numbers?

It sounds like you have not recorded the 'next' invoice number in the
sequence that Solar Accounts expects. To fix the problem, click menu Setup
> Transaction Defaults > Transaction ID, then change the Next Number field
to be the correct next number in the sequence you want.
