How do I reconcile the present year reconcilation only.

Regarding your question about reconciling only the present year: Do you
mean you want to reconcile the current year now and you expect to never
reconcile previous years? Or do you want to reconcile the current year
now, then later go back and reconcile the previous years?

I wants to reconcile the year ended 18and 19 only. There is no option for configuring.

OK here's what you should do:

1. Click menu Setup > Financial Year and check that the financial year
   start date is in 2017. If it is not, then click 'Start a new financial
   year' and set the date to be the correct financial year start date for 2017.

2. Go to the Accounts list and double-click on Cheque Account, then check
   that the opening balance matches the balance on your bank statement as at
   the start of your financial year for 2017.

3. Click menu Tools > Reconcile Bank Statement, then select Cheque Account
   and click OK.

4. If you have any transactions dated before your 2017 financial year start
   date, ensure that they are all ticked. An easy way to do that is to tick
   the first transaction, then hold down the Shift key and tick the last
   transaction dated before your 2017 financial year.

5. Continue reconciling transactions from 2017 financial year start date as
   described here:
