I have just updated my MacBook -pro to the new Apple "Caitlin".
I can no longer access my Accounts as the update has disallowed the access.
I have no been using the online access as I was perfectly happy with what I had.
I have now managed to get my info back by using the online version.
You have only given me a trial period of 30 odd days before I will have to pay a monthly subscription??
I have been with Solar accounts for over 10 years and would have expected an automatic non paying transfer to online??
Please advise asap.
Hello Ron,
Unfortunately MacOS Catalina cannot run 32-bit software, so it cannot run
the old offline version of Solar Accounts you have installed. To resolve
the problem you will need to back up your data and do a 'factory reset' to
restore your previous operating system version. Please contact Apple for
details of how to do this.
We will not provide a free online service for Solar Accounts beyond the 30
day trial. If you decide not to continue with the online service after
your 30 day trial period ends, we can arrange to send you a .slr file
containing your online data which you can open with the old offline version
of Solar Accounts. However, to run the offline version you must not be
running the latest version of MacOS (Catalina)
OK Mark, I guess it is going to be easier to continue with your Online version” rather that all the hassle the Apple update appears to have caused.
Thanks anyway.
Ron.
