I wonder if you can help please. We are just about to pay our very first employee and the gov website says that we have to submit a FPS via Solar. I have read up and understand how to record a payment using the negative signs for Tax & NI but somewhere I have to enter my employer PAYE ref no. and accounts office reference ?

Hi Jayne,

Unfortunately Solar Accounts isn't designed to submit FPS payments directly
to HMRC. Can you please send me the link to the government website which
indicates you need to submit FPS via Solar Accounts?

It didn’t say Solar accounts, it just said your accounts software…so I assumed it could do this. Sorry if it made you worry.
