Hello,
I was wondering if you would be so kind to answer a question that's been bugging me for a while now?
I have Solar Accounts 3 running on a Mac with 10.13.6 High Sierra, which is great, no problems, however I would like if possible, to place the .slr file that it accesses on another Mac running 12.4 Monterey, the reason for this is simply where all my files are kept and backed up regularly with Time Machine. My problem is that Solar Accounts doesn't seem to want to read the .slr file from this location, it keeps telling me that 'Unable to write to disk. Please check the drive is not full or read-only. etc. etc.', have I just not got my access preferences set correctly or is it not possible to do this? I have all sorts of files accessed from this location from a PC and my old Mac with no problem, but for some reason I can't seem to get .slr files to work.
Hope you can help.
Kind regards,
Philip Thorne
Hi Philip
Unfortunately the old version of Solar Accounts uses unusual file system
features which are not always supported by network drives, so we recommend
you should always edi the file when it is stored on your local hard drive.
Maybe a way you could work is to copy the file from the remote drive to
your local computer, edit the file locally, then copy the file back to the
remote computer.
