I'm getting slightly different figures on my VAT Return than on my VAT Period Detail sheet. I'm sure it is something simple but I just can't figure it. Surely the figures all come from the same software.

When you submit your VAT return figures, you have the option to include
changes to previous VAT periods made after you submitted the return. This
option is not available in the VAT Period Detail report, so it may be the
cause of the discrepancy. To see exactly how the VAT Return figures have
been calculated, click the 'Save Details' link in the top-right corner of
the window before you click 'Submit'
