Solar Accounts Online Upgrade Inquiry

I am now ready to upgrade to the online version of your excellent software, and to convert in my existing files over. Do I simply download the new software and connect it with my existing file in the same way as I do now? Is there a straightforward method for redirecting storage of this file onto your server?

Also, each month I save a separate snapshot backup file. Can I continue this practice if the active file is stored on your server?

Many thanks,
David

Hi David,

It's great to hear you like Solar Accounts and want to switch to the online
version! To import your existing data, just follow the 5 steps on this
page:
https://www.solaraccounts.co.uk/upgrade

If you get stuck at any point, please let me know what step you reach and
any error message.

You can save a backup file each month by clicking menu File > Create Backup
> On This Computer. However, the backup file you create can only be opened
in Solar Accounts Online - it cannot be opened in the old offline version.

Dear Mark,

Thanks for the quick response. Having downloaded the new version I note that the webpage only mentioned compatibility with MACOS 10.14 (Mojave). Is it also compatible with 10.15 (Catalina) and 11.00 (Big Sur)?

Grateful for your help in clarifying.

Thanks again,

David

Hi David,

Whoops - that's an oversight on our part. Yes it is compatible with
Catalina and Big Sur. Thanks for reporting the issue - we've now fixed the
web page.
