Running Solar Accounts on Apple Laptop

I currently have offline Solar accounts and have been running this for over 5 years now without any problem. I’m looking at getting an Apple laptop and wanted to know if I can move it over without any problem?

Hi Craig,

Regarding your question about running Solar Accounts on a new Apple
computer: Are you currently using the online version of Solar Accounts?
That is, do you enter a User ID and password whenever you start the
software?

The vast majority of my clients accounts are in the old offline version of solar. I have a couple on the new online version where I sign in each time

Best wishes

Hi Craig,

OK regarding the old offline version: If your Apple computer is running
MacOS version 10.14 or lower then you can download the software
<https://www.solaraccounts.co.uk/download?online=false> from our website
and continue as normal. However, the offline version will not support
MacOS versions greater than 10.14 - that means if you upgrade the operating
system in future or buy a new computer you may find the software does not
work and you will need to switch to the online version to manage these
businesses.

The online version has no such restriction - it will support all modern
MacOS versions.
