I am looking for a new accounts package to replace Quickbooks (which is canning my Desktop system) and I have some questions.
1. Can Solar cope with bank accounts, credit cards and petty cash in multiple currencies?
2. Can expenses and invoices be tagged with project info for analysis and reporting?
3. Can it work entirely offline?
4. How does one keep data available when a business is closed (I am reaching retirement) to satisfy HMRC requirements?
Hello Gillian,
Thanks for your interest in Solar Accounts. To answer your questions:
Sorry no, Solar Accounts cannot be used to manage multiple accounts of different currencies
Yes, you can tag every transaction with a Job/Department identifier, then view the Profit and Loss report for that Job/Department
Not quite. You can store your data offline (ie. only on your computer) but you will still need an online connection to log in whenever you restart the program or if you haven't logged in for 30 days.
If you cancel your Solar Accounts Online subscription we give you 2 years free read-only access to your data. If you need access to your data for longer then you will need to download the transactions, customers and reports to spreadsheet files which you can access at any time
