how do I transfer the balance from 31st December 2020
to start a new year finical year starting January 1st 2021
Hi Julie,
In Solar Accounts your account balances simply carry forward from one year
to the next. However, for your income and expense accounts you normally
want to reset the balance to zero at the start of your financial year. To
do that, first enter all the transactions for the old year. Once you have
entered all transactions for the financial year click menu Setup >
Financial Year > Start a new financial year. This will create an
end-of-year transaction that resets the balance of the income and expense
accounts to zero.
