just moved to a new laptop, going from windows 8.1 to windows 11.
Solar doesn't seem to want to connect to my email any more (it was working fine on the old laptop), getting 'failed to launch email application' message.
I'm using Thunderbird and have made sure it's set as my default email.
Any ideas?

The most likely problem is that Solar Accounts can only interface with a 32-bit email program, but the latest versions of Outlook and Thunderbird are usually 64-bit versions. You may want to see if there is a 32-bit version of Thunderbird available

yes, that was it. Found a 32 bit version, downloaded and Solar now connecting again. Problem solved.
