VAT on Purchase Invoices

Would you please advise us?
We are not registered for VAT. When recording a Bill or Purchase Invoice, the amount VAT paid can not be edited as described in New Features - February 2009. The VAT link does not appear.

Hi Roger,

Yes I can see why this is confusing. The VAT you enter into a Purchase Invoice really means 'VAT to be reclaimed from HMRC'. Since you aren't VAT-registered, this amount should always be zero. Instead, enter the price as a VAT-inclusive amount.
