I have started to play around but I miss the possibility to work with my stock like, what do we have in stock, when do we need to purchase again? producing purchse orders and similar questions. Have I missed something or is this an additional module we can add on?

Unfortunately Solar Accounts is rather limited when it comes to tracking stock. You will need to keep track of individual stock items outside the software (eg. in a spreadsheet) as we don't have an additional module for stock control. However, you can create purchase orders by going to the Purchase Invoices list and clicking New > Purchase Order.
