WHEN I DEPOSIT MONEY INTO MY BANK I CLICK FILE THEN GENERAL TRANSACTIONS.
SHOULD I DO THIS OR SHOULD I CLICK ON MONEY RECEIVED BOX INSTEAD.

Hi Tom,
You would use Money Received window if you have been paid directly into your bank account by someone else (eg. a customer).
If you are recording a deposit of your own funds, create a General Transaction as described here:
