I spoke to my accountant who naturally uses Sage as her software. She asked whether Solar Accounts can be turned into an Excel format which she could then download onto Sage, and if so, how ? Many thanks.

Hello Adrian,
If your accountant has Sage Line 50, you can export the data to CSV files which can then be imported into Sage Line 50. To do this click menu File > Export To > Sage Line 50 CSV Files.
However, the result of importing the data into Sage will not be the same as if you had typed the data directly into Sage. This is because:
a) Solar Accounts exports all transactions as journal entries; and
b) Solar Accounts uses different control accounts than the ones normally used by Sage.
The best way to see if this is suitable is to try the export/import proceedure with a small set of 'dummy' accounts.
