Hi. I'm trying to avoid having my solar file (.slr) on a local PC so updated it to my dedicated server. I've set both the folder and file settings to read / write and added a folder password.
When I type in a URL for that (.slr) file it asks me for the folder password, I type it in and the file begins to load with Solar Accounts.
Unfortunately, I then receive an error which says "You do not have permission to write to a local / temp version of my file." It recommends me to change the file access permissions, or copy the file and open the copy.
Is this a server issue or can .slr files not be accessed from a url location?
Thanks!
Hello Michal,
You might want to check that you have set up your network correctly by creating a text file on the server, then checking to see if you can edit the text file using Notepad on your computer.
If you can edit the text document but not your Solar Accounts data file, your network protocol is not supported by Solar Accounts. You will need to copy the file to your computer, edit it, then copy it back to the server.
Regards,
