Cash Sales

I have just downloaded my 60-day trial of Solar (what a great idea!), but am not sure how this will work for my business.

I keep accounts for a tyre fitting business - almost all cash sales to many different customers and about 10 suppliers at most. Cash is used to pay for most supplies. Is there an easy way to record sales (which are just recorded in a book on a total daily basis, and are currently put into a cash account Excel s/sheet by me) on Solar? There are no customer invoices.

Hi Lyn,

Thanks for your interest in Solar Accounts. You don't need to create invoices to record your daily sales - you can just record a Money Received transaction with the Type set to 'General Payment'. See this page which talks about recording daily (cash) sales:

Hi,

I'm so glad I stumbled across this thread as I was starting to give up hope!

One of my customers is a small delicatessen which is mainly a cash business. Many of her suppliers are paid from the till. Could you please advise how to record this?

Many thanks

Kirsty
