Linking expenses with a customer

Is it possible to record expenses so that they correspond to each relevant customer invoice?
How do i link the purchase invoices/expenses to the customer invoices so at the end of each job i can see the final balance for each job.

e.g. Customer invoice: £5,000

minus expenses: Fuel £50, Materials £2,000
minus VAT: £690

= £2,260

Hi Vicki,

Unfortunately, Solar Accounts is not designed to directly tie expenses to a particular customer. However, a workaround is to add something like 'Customer: John Smith' to the Journal Memo field of the expense transaction. You can then filter the Transactions list to only show money paid out where the journal memo field includes this text. The total of the transactions will then be shown in the status bar at the bottom of the window.
